Monday–July 26, 2021
Trail Day–157
Trail Mile–-12.8/1,813.3
Location–Seven Lakes Drive (first crossing), then to Mosey’s Place Hostel, Port Jervis, NY, AT Mile 1,394.6

Another great early breakfast prepared by Mosey, then Barry loads us (St. Paul, Potato Chip & Nimblewill) for the long drive back to West Mombasha Road.
We’re out on the rock-choked trail just after seven. Another day ricocheting the up-down rocks and boulders. One notorious spot in the boulders known as the lemon squeezer–a bit of time spent getting through that jumble.

A short roadwalk to get past I-81, then more up-down rocks. I manage another nasty fall in the continuous rock choked trail. Hit my head (again), bloodied my knee (again).

Not finished with this day until five. Ten hours to cover less than 13 miles. My energy level has definitely been off today.

What lies behind us
and what lies before us
are tiny matters compared
to what lies within us.
