Trail Day–157
Trail Mile–-12.8/1,813.3
Location–Seven Lakes Drive (first crossing), then to Mosey’s Place Hostel, Port Jervis, NY, AT Mile 1,394.6
Another great early breakfast prepared by Mosey, then Barry loads us (St. Paul, Potato Chip & Nimblewill) for the long drive back to West Mombasha Road.
We’re out on the rock-choked trail just after seven. Another day ricocheting the up-down rocks and boulders.
One notorious spot in the boulders known as the lemon squeezer–a bit of time spent getting through that jumble.
A short roadwalk to get past I-81, then more up-down rocks. I manage another nasty fall in the continuous rock choked trail. Hit my head (again), bloodied my knee (again).
Not finished with this day until five. Ten hours to cover less than 13 miles. My energy level has definitely been off today.
What lies behind us
and what lies before us
are tiny matters compared
to what lies within us.
(Ralph Waldo Emerson)
I love following along the trail with you. Your descriptions are great. Stay safe and embrace even all the “clouds”. “Clouds come into my life no longer to carry rain or usher in storms but to add color to my sunset sky.” -Tagore

Amen, to Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nimble Will❣️
Oh the blessings with which we have been endowed by our Creator, our Savior❣️
Wow, holy cow, what a rocky trail.
This isn’t a timed event, no matter the prevailing thoughts. This is about you completing, and still being well at the end, an epic journey of body, mind, soul, and spirit, experiencing all that nature provides you, with the bonus of relationships formed and reinforced along the way.
Take care of yourself, kind sir❣️And happy trails 🥾🥾🥾

Love your blog, but I’m confused. How do you continue your hike over that last week and continue to stay at Mosey’s Hostel? Inquiring minds want to know. 😆🤔

Hello, Nimblewill. Enjoying the journal of your trek. A friend and I (both from Montgomery) met you up on Flagg some months ago. In today’s post you say that you have fallen and hit your head (again). You may want to consider a bicycle-style helmet. Most are ventilated and cool, and might help prevent significant head injury.
