Today will be a zero-mile day. We arrived Davenport Gap yesterday, a day early. So, a day of rest. And too, a day to pause, to be thankful (after finishing Great Smoky Mountains National Park).
Oh, and two other factors:
First, rain had been forecast for this entire day–and it came in just as predicted this morning. We’re in and warm. Yippee.
Second, after a little over two months on trail, I recently passed my quarter-of-the-way mark at 654.2 miles. Big YIPPEE!
