Trail Mile–0.00/701.3
Location–Laughing Heart Hostel, Hot Springs, AT Mile 274.4

A much needed day of rest. I manage some breakfast. Feeling stronger again in the afternoon.

But early evening the fever returns, and what little I’ve eaten today departs abruptly, top and bottom.

Julie and husband, Jon, and their grandson, Brantley Colt Stonewall Barnes, comes to visit, to bring me a brand new pair of Oboz Sawtooth shoes. My old Oboz had a bunch of miles on them before starting this trek, plus over 700 more now. Just a blessing to have new shoes. Thanks, Julie, I remain in your debt!

Tomorrow, tomorrow…

If today you are a little bit better than you were yesterday, then that’s enough.
And, if tomorrow you are a little bit better than you were today, then that’s enough

  1. I prayed for peace, patience snd healing Romans 8:28

After numerous attempts at posting this and resetting passwords snd re logging in I think I’ve done it. Isn’t that the way our Lord teaches us!! Thanks for the lesson to me.

  2. My goodness Sunny, I certainly hope you are better today . A little remedy for future bugs. Apple Cider Vinegar(1 oz) and honey(2 spoonfuls). Take a spoonful every half hour. Kills those bacteria within a few hours.

You are blessed to have such wonderful loving friends.

Sending you a prayer for a safe and healthy hike. May you be carried in the arms of God when you are in need, may you walk along side God in all steps taken.

I know that feeling about Max Patch. A true place of awe bestowed upon us.

    Sending you hugs

    Juli
